MANILA, Philippines --- The Senate has come up with a manifesto rejecting a people's initiative for Charter change (Cha-cha). Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri himself confirmed this on Tuesday. "Yes and will share later," Zubiri said in a Viber message when asked about the manifesto. He provided no other details as of posting. Zubiri already filed a resolution last January 15 proposing changes to certain economic provisions of the Constitution, in an apparent bid to stop the PI.
