UN rapporteur on freedom of expression arrives in PH
MANILA, Philippines --- Irene Khan, the United Nations (UN) special rapporteur on freedom of opinion and expression, arrived in Manila on Monday, one day ahead of schedule. The Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) welcomed Khan, who arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from Kuala Lumpur. The PTFoMS called Khan's visit "an opportunity to highlight the Philippines' unwavering dedication to openness, transparency, and a thriving media landscape where everyone is empowered to freely express their opinions."
