LUCENA CITY --- A fire burned six houses in a residential area in Mataas Na Kahoy town in Batangas province on Saturday, September 16. The Batangas police said in a report Sunday that the blaze started at around 6:40 p.m. in one of the rooms in the house owned by Shiela Rabano, 43, located in Barangay (village) 4. Because the house was made of light materials, the blaze quickly spread and burned five other houses, the report said.
