4 suspected illegal loggers fall in Quezon

LUCENA CITY --- Police arrested on Monday four suspected illegal loggers and seized more than P27,000 worth of undocumented round logs in Atimonan town in Quezon province on Monday. Anti-illegal logging operatives caught around 8 p.m.Ramil Alvarez, Jose Escullar, Jimmy Abante, and Jay Abante while loading 79 pieces of mahogany round logs into a truck in Barangay Talaba, the Quezon police reported on Tuesday, August 8. The seized lumber measuring 678.4 board feet (1.6 cubic meters) was found without proper documents from the authorities.
