LUCENA CITY --- Another motorcycle rider died in a road mishap on Thursday, August 3,in Quezon bringing the number of motorbike-related deaths in the province to seven within six days. Quezon police said in a report that a still-unidentified motorcyclist was hit at 12:55 a.m. by a truck driven by Rolando Gatucao in the intersection of the by-pass road in Barangay Tumbaga 1 in Sariaya town. The rider suffered fatal head injuries and died on the spot. The truck driver surrendered to the police. The report did not state if Gatucao was wearing a crash helmet, a requirement by the Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009.
