DAVAO CITY--Classes of a public high school in Mati City, Davao Oriental have been suspended on Friday as two students tested positive for COVID-19. The Mati City Incident Command Center ordered a lockdown of Matiao National High School in Matiao village, after 16 students showed flu-like symptoms, with two testing positive of the virus in a rapid antigen test, the local government's information office said. A disinfection operation was immediately conducted by the city disaster risk reduction and management office after students and teaching staff of the school were sent home and advised to undergo home quarantine.
