PCG rescues 85 passengers from stranded Ro-Ro vessel off Lanao del Norte  

MANILA, Philippines --- The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Friday said it has rescued 85 passengers from a roll-on-roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessel that ran aground off Lanao Del Norte. The PCG said MV Filipinas Cebu got stranded close to Maigo Point at around 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. Meanwhile, the PCG's Marine Environmental Protection Unit conducted an oil spill assessment around the vicinity of the boat mishap.
