LUCENA CITY --- A man died Tuesday in a fire that razed his house in Santa Rosa City in Laguna province. Fire investigators found the body of Rodel Acua at 11:40 a.m. inside his house in Barangay Don Jose, which the fire gutted, the Region 4A police said in an initial report Wednesday, March 29. The victim was intoxicated and died due to "possible fume suffocation after being trapped [while] asleep inside his abode," stated the report. No other casualties and houses were affected by the fire, the police reported.. An investigation was still ongoing to determine what caused the fire.
