NCAA: Lyceum, Perpetual Help post contrasting wins in women’s volleyball

MANILA, Philippines---Lyceum and Perpetual Help posted wins in the NCAA Season 98 women's volleyball tournament at San Andres Complex on Sunday. The Lady Pirates swept the Lady Red Lions, 25-20, 25-16, 28-26, behind Janeth Tulang. Tulang scored 14 to power the Lady Pirates to their fifth win in seven outings. Joan Doguna added 13 for Lyceum. Marianne Louise Tayag was the sole double-digit scorer for San Beda (1-6) with 10. The Lady Altas, meanwhile, needed four tough sets to outlast Letran, 25-23, 25-21, 30-32, 25-19. Shaila Omipon led all scorers with 24 points while Mary Rhose Dapol scored 20 to power Perpetual Help to a 6-1 card.
