Semiconductor firm earmarks $10.25M to upgrade Clark facilities

SFA Semicon Philippines Corp. (SSP) is spending $10.25 million to upgrade its manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand. In a stock exchange filing on Tuesday, the company said its board had approved the spending to partly finance its five-year investment roadmap. "The [updated investment plan] aims to replace fully depreciated machineries and equipment in SSP phase 1 facility and to upgrade as well as purchase new production equipment in SSP's phase 1 and phase 2 manufacturing facilities in Clark Freeport Zone," the company said.
