Pasig City gov’t shuts chicken restaurant for lack of environmental permit

MANILA, Philippines --- The city government of Pasig closed down a branch of a popular fast food chain after it was discovered to be operating without the necessary permit. In a Twitter post, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto revealed that the chicken restaurant's wastewater is being dumped directly into a nearby creek and that the store has no Environmental Permit to Operate (EPO).
