LUCENA CITY -- Six drug suspects yielded more than P2.6 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in police buy-bust operations in Cavite, Rizal, and Batangas provinces on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 6 and 7). The Region 4A police said in a report Saturday that anti-narcotics operatives in Dasmarias City, Cavite collared Dionisio Ibaez in Barangay (village) H-2 around 11:55 p.m. on Friday. Authorities seized one knot-tied plastic bag containing shabu weighing 100 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P680,000. The confiscated meth is worth P2,040,000 in the street market at the prevailing price of P20,400 per gram.
