2 Chinese tourists allegedly abducted in Pasay City, released; cops probing

MANILA, Philippines --- Two Chinese tourists were allegedly kidnapped by fellow Chinese nationals in Pasay City early this week, police said Friday. Investigation showed that Faquiang Guo, 46, and Fangmei Zhu, 50, were aboard a luxury van with three other companions on the way to Paraaque City when blocked by the vehicle of a group of armed men on Atang Dela Rama Street in Pasay City around 9 p.m. Monday and abducted, police also said. According to a report from the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspects released Zhu in Las Pias City around 1:30 p.m. on January 16, or two days after the abduction.
