​From bursting the brain to popping eyeballs out, we have heard several such things and have been warned not to hold in sneeze. While many of us might have tried to do so, a recent incident, which was unintentional, has shed light on the hazards of stopping the sneeze. "In the first known case of its kind, a man tore a small hole in his windpipe after attempting to hold in a sneeze," as per a recent BMJ case study.​
