PBKS vs RR Highlights: Hetmeyer's Last-over Help Rajasthan Royals Beat Punjab Kings by 3 WicketsPBKS vs RR Highlights, IPL 2024: In what was an entertaining chase, the Royals were off to a steady start with their makeshift opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal along with the debutant Tanush Kotian. The two brought up a fifty-run stand. However, following this, wickets kept falling in regular intervals as the run rate kept creeping up. Sanju Samson, Jaiswal and Riyan Parag were dismissed in quick time following the powerplay but they were still scoring at a steady rate. But Rovman Powell produced a quick cameo to put the chase back in their favour. Shimron Hetmeyer who is the sides’ designated finisher did his job as he scored 10 runs from the final over to get the win.Atharva Taide and Jonny Bairstow started by playing some lovely strokes but the runs dried up once the first wicket fell. PBKS shuffled the line up but none of them made a huge impact. Liam Livingstone looked well set for a big score and played a came too before getting run out. However, Punjab recovered thanks to their desperate call of Impact Player, Ashutosh Sharma was dropped on 9 and he went onto play a valuable knock of 31 runs. Earlier, it was an interesting toss as Shikhar Dhawan was not present in the middle for the toss for the Punjab Kings. Sam Curran stepped in place of the skipper to lead the side. Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first against PBKS. The Royals also have two big changes on their side as Jos Buttler and Ravichandran Ashwin miss out and Rovman Powell and Tanush Kotian make their debuts for the franchise. For PBKS, Atharva Taide comes in place of Dhawan along with the return of Liam Livingstone in the side.
