CBI seizes huge quantity of drugs from shipping container
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seized a shipping container suspected of containing narcotics mixed within 25,000kg of inactive dried yeast at Visakhapatnam port. Acting on information received from Interpol, CBI, with assistance from Customs, conducted Operation Garuda. An FIR has been registered against the consignee and other suspects. Preliminary examination suggests the presence of narcotics mixed with the yeast.
