Suspected Chinese spy pigeon released after 8 months: Mumbai police

A pigeon suspected of being a spy for China was recently released in Mumbai. The bird, caught eight months ago, had rings tied to its leg and messages written in a Chinese-like script on its wings. Initially accused of spying, the police dropped the charge after discovering that the pigeon had participated in racing events in Taiwan and accidentally flown to India. The Bai Sakarbai Dinshaw Petit Hospital for Animals released the pigeon in good health after receiving permission from the police.
