New Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya temple to be known as 'Balak Ram'

The Ram Lalla idol (5-year-old deity) that was consecrated at the Ayodhya Temple during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22 will be known as "Balak Ram".Arun Dixit, a priest associated with the consecration ceremony, told news agency PTI that the name was chosen because the idol depicts Lord Ram as a 5-year-old boy."The idol of Lord Ram, whose consecration was done on January 22, has been named as 'Balak Ram'. The reason for naming the idol of Lord Ram as 'Balak Ram' is that he resembles a child, whose age is five years," Dixit said.
