A 44-year-old individual working in a blood bank lost Rs 6 lakhs to a cyber fraud. The Ghatkopar police have booked four persons claiming to be representatives from a digital company offering job and investment opportunities. The victim received a call offering him a part time job and later an investment opportunity. He was asked to write reviews and ratings on a website and was made a member of a whatsapp group. The victim transferred 5.97 lakhs and realized that the initial profit was fake. He registered an FIR. Police and cyber police are conducting a parallel probe.
