Government sits on TISS work order to study conditions of Muslims in Maharashtra
The state government failed to issue work orders to Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) for a detailed study on the Muslim community's socio-economic status, despite issuing a Government Resolution (GR) and allocating funds for the study. The study aims to assess the living conditions, infrastructure, financial assistance, and government scheme benefits for the Muslim community in 56 cities of Maharashtra. The opposition is demanding immediate issuance of the work order to TISS and highlighting the violation of law in not implementing the GR.
