Bombay HC vacation bench imposes total Rs 3 lakh costs on several petitioners in a day

The Bombay high court vacation bench, consisting of Justices Kamal Khata and Jitendra Jain, directed eight petitioners to pay a cumulative exemplary cost of Rs 3 lakh. The petitioners were allowed to withdraw their pleas against demolition notices issued by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). The court imposed costs of Rs 1 lakh on Tejas Bodke and Rs 50,000 on S D Shelar, both of whom challenged the notices. The court also permitted two other petitioners to withdraw their petitions and directed the removal of an unauthorized structure within three days.
