The Pragati Maidan redevelopment project included the development of a traffic corridor on Mathura Road, which has improved commute and saved time. However, the lack of enforcement and foresight in traffic management has led to two new bottlenecks. Autorickshaws parking in multiple lanes near the Delhi zoo and the popularity of Sunder Nursery are threatening the traffic corridor project. The autorickshaws' unruly behavior and the encroachment of pavements near the zoo have caused traffic congestion and inconvenience to pedestrians. Similarly, the parking issue at Sabz Burj roundabout, near Humayun's Tomb and Sunder Nursery, needs to be addressed to prevent congestion.
