'Call records not enough to prove guilt': MP court acquits murder accused

A trial court in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district has acquitted a murder suspect, telling police that call records and mobile tower location were not enough to prove guilt. On May 1, 2021, 40-year-old Lakshmi Tomar, a beauty parlour owner in Shivpuri, was found murdered in Guna. She was identified on May 5 and a couple of days later police arrested her alleged boyfriend, claiming he killed her because she was insisting on marriage. According to the police, tensions erupted when the woman found that he was preparing to marry someone else.
