Tardeo police investigating an investment banker's complaint against an art dealer and a lawyer for selling him fake paintings will seek assistance from Kalina Forensic Science Laboratories to verify the authenticity of the artwork. Earlier, a private agency determined that the signatures on the paintings were forged. The investment banker, Punit Bhatia, filed a complaint stating that he purchased a total of 11 paintings, including works by Manjit Bawa and F N Souza, which turned out to be fake. The police are also looking into whether there are other victims and have requested details of the art dealer's bank account.
