35-year-old woman apprehended for defrauding garment workers of Rs 12 crore

The economic offences wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police recently arrested a 35-year-old woman, Archana Singh, who acted as a proprietor in a firm called Apex Enterprises. Singh, along with her accomplices, including Kalpesh Kapadia and Krishnkmar Tiwari, allegedly cheated garment traders, including Yash Himanshu Shah, Siyaram fabrics, and Balaji textiles, of Rs 12 crore. The accused initially made immediate payments to win the traders' confidence but later defaulted on payments. Singh's involvement came to light when she and Sharma formed Apex Enterprises and cheated a seller of Rs 85 lakh.
