Gang sold stolen phones in Nepal, kingpin held in Delhi

The police have arrested the kingpin and busted a gang that smuggled stolen mobile phones from Delhi to Nepal. The gang sourced the phones from snatchers and thieves, took them to repair shops to unlock them and altered their appearances. The cops recovered 124 devices and Rs 19 lakh in the proceeds from their illegal sales. The gang members prepared bundles of 40 phones each and handed them over to drivers or cleaners of tourist buses. They sent the phones to Nepal and sold them at inflated prices.
