A gang of three auto rickshaw drivers in Mira Road were arrested for robbing passengers. An Ahmedabad resident hired an auto driven by Pradeep Savadkar to drop him off at a lodge. Two men on motorbikes intercepted the auto, robbed the passenger of valuables worth Rs 1.75 lakhs, and fled. Savadkar confessed and the other two drivers, Jihahullah and Arshad, were also arrested. Police suspect they may have robbed other passengers as well though no complaint has been received.
