Kochhar SC plea for retirement benefit release dismissed
The Supreme Court dismissed former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar's plea seeking release of her retirement benefits. The court refused to entertain the plea and asked her to contest the suit filed against the company. Kochhar's lawyer requested interim relief, but the court declined. Kochhar had approached the Supreme Court after the Bombay High Court rejected her plea. The high court had directed Kochhar not to deal with the bank's shares she acquired in 2018.
