Plan to push growth in 200 urban villages in Delhi

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena launched Dilli Gramodaya Abhiyan to develop urban villages in Delhi. The campaign, funded and implemented by Delhi Development Authority (DDA), aims to transform the infrastructure, civic services, health and sports services, horticultural and water management of around 200 urban villages. The first village to be revamped is Jaunti Village in North-West Delhi. An amount of more than Rs 800 crore has been earmarked for the campaign. The campaign was inaugurated with the commencement of works for Delhi's first grazing ground in Jaunti Village.
