Covid centres: EOW submits chargesheet
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police has filed a chargesheet against businessman Sujit Patkar and four doctors for alleged irregularities in obtaining and running Covid-19 centers. The chargesheet states that Patkar and the doctors formed a partnership and submitted false documents to obtain contracts from the BMC. They are accused of manipulating attendance records and submitting forged bills, resulting in a loss of Rs 15.31 crore. The chargesheet also includes IPC sections of criminal conspiracy.
