Delhi HC seeks govt, MCD replies on Hardayal library appointment

Delhi High Court has asked the Delhi government, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and Hardayal Municipal Heritage Public Library to respond to allegations of violating norms in the appointment of a secretary by MCD. Poonam Parashar Jha, the previous secretary, filed a petition requesting the nullification of the election that resulted in another person being elected. Jha claimed that the MCD conducted the election in a biased manner and did not follow the prescribed rules. The court has directed the respondents to file their affidavits within four weeks. The matter is listed for February 23, 2024.
