Lahori Gate Haveli revamp old Delhi’s Khari Baoli enters last lap

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has completed the restoration of the 95-year-old Lahori Gate Haveli in old Delhi's Khari Baoli. The project was funded by the Union culture ministry, and the remaining restoration work will be done based on the recommendation of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach). The MCD plans to develop a Shahjahanabad Interpretation Centre and a museum at the site, showcasing the cultural history of Shahjahanabad. The proposal is awaiting approval from the MCD's Standing Committee. The haveli will also provide a platform for artisans to showcase their products.
