Senior Trinamool Congress leader Jyoti Priya Mallick has admitted to receiving a Rs 9 crore "loan" from a key accused in the PDS scam during his interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate. He declared the amount in the Income Disclosure Scheme, 2016, in the name of his wife and daughter and paid tax on it. Mallick is being investigated for allegedly receiving proceeds from the illegal diversion of subsidised foodgrain.
