Mumbai: Two girls rescued from prostitution racket, 3 pimps arrested

Two girls, one of them a minor, have been rescued from a prostitution racket in Mumbai. The city's crime branch apprehended three alleged pimps, including a 64-year-old woman. Acting on a tip-off, the police set a trap using a decoy customer and apprehended the suspects. The rescued 16-year-old girl had been forced into the trade by her own parents. The suspects have been charged under relevant sections of the law, including the Special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The parents may also be implicated in the case.
