The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided to cancel its plan to build a restaurant-cum-hangout space on the Juhu parking lot in Mumbai. The plan had faced opposition from residents who argued that the plot was designated as a parking lot in the development plan. The AAI's proposal was also opposed by citizens and a local MLA. Activist P K Das has suggested building a multi-storey parking lot on the land instead. The cancellation of the plan has been welcomed by the local community.
