The Parliamentary Committee on Home Affairs, led by BJP member Brij Lal, approved three reports on bills aimed at replacing current criminal laws. Some opposition members raised dissenting notes during the meeting, following a delay of nearly 10 days to study the draft reports circulated the previous month. Parliamentary sources said some opposition members had already submitted their dissent notes to the reports on the three bills to be replaced.
