Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has accused central agencies, such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED), of targeting cooperative sector banks in the state while ignoring financial irregularities in other parts of the country. Vijayan alleged that the ED was trying to destroy the cooperative banking sector in Kerala. He also criticized the agency for investigating the Karuvannur bank scam, while not taking action against larger irregularities in other parts of the country.
