The crash occurred on Friday. Autorickshaw driver Sakhavat Ansari, 44, who was one of those injured, later told the police that he had been ferrying a woman commuter from Mira Road to Malad via WEH. Around 6.30 pm, he was on the south-bound arm of WEH near the Times of India press when a car came up from behind in speed and hit him. The impact caused the auto to turn turtle. Ansari fractured his hand while his passenger, Tanuja Sahani, 45, suffered leg injuries.
