Punjab farmers defy farm fire prevention team, force officer to burn stubble

Farmers in Punjab's Bathinda district allegedly forced a farm fire prevention officer to set a heap of stubble on fire, defying orders from the prevention team. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann condemned the incident as an "inhuman crime" and a video of the incident surfaced on social media. An FIR has been filed against the farmers and further investigations are underway. Stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana has been a major cause of air pollution in Delhi during October and November.
