Delhi govt plans to increase share of ecotourism in GDP

The Delhi government plans to promote ecotourism and green employment in an effort to boost the contribution of these sectors to the GDP. The government aims to increase the contribution of ecotourism to at least 10% and green employment to 5%. Several eco-projects, including the Yamuna riverfront and biodiversity parks, have the potential to enhance the sector. Additionally, the government plans to increase forest cover from 13.1% to 15% and increase the area covered by trees outside forests from 10% to 18%. These measures are intended to mitigate air pollution and improve groundwater recharge.
