Around 15 students have been rusticated from Delhi University's Hindu College for "indiscipline" during the college union elections. The students have been charged with disruptions during the elections, including disrupting classes and causing property damage. The rusticated students have been asked to submit an affidavit stating they will not engage in such activities in the future. The students had staged a hunger strike in September to protest the rejection of 30 student nominations for positions in the college's student union. The ABVP will protest on campus to demand the withdrawal of the rustication notice.
