Delhi Air Pollution: Urja advises ward-specific plans to curb air pollution

The United Residents Joint Action (Urja), the apex body of residents' welfare associations in Delhi, has conducted a survey to address the issue of air pollution in the city. The survey revealed piled-up garbage causing fires, congestion due to improper parking, and a lack of awareness among the public about pollution control measures. Urja has suggested involving the youth, housewives, and slum representatives in waste management workshops and developing ward-level action plans in consultation with citizens. However, the effectiveness of these measures remains to be seen.
