Road engineering changes and the installation of monitoring cameras at 17 locations in Delhi have resulted in a decline in fatal accidents over the last four years. Changes such as increasing the height of central verge railings, installing high iron grilles on low-height medians, and setting up speed cameras have contributed to this improvement. Other measures include extending foot bridges, closing road cuts, and implementing traffic lights and speed violation cameras in various areas. These efforts were executed in coordination with other agencies and have led to a significant reduction in fatal accidents.
