Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, criticized the Indian government's approach to the Palestine issue amid the Israel-Hamas war. Pawar highlighted the confusion in the government's policy, stating that initially, the Prime Minister supported Israel but later the foreign ministry took a different stance in favor of Palestine. India had abstained from a UN resolution calling for a humanitarian truce in the conflict, which was ultimately adopted with 120 votes in favor, 14 against, and 45 abstentions. The Indian government has condemned terrorist attacks while advocating for a peaceful resolution.
