After attacking Congress on seat-sharing, SP chief says ally’s ‘tallest leader’ has reached out to him
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said on Saturday that Congress’s “tallest leader” had reached out to him for reconciliation, following deteriorating ties between the two key INDIA bloc constituents over seat-sharing for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls. Although Congress sources confirmed a senior functionary, possibly an emissary of Rahul Gandhi, approached Akhilesh, they didn’t disclose the person’s name or the content of the message. The discord exploded when Congress released its list of candidates for the MP polls.
