Citizens’ drive seeks to enforce pedestrian 1st policy of BMC

Residents of Chandivali in Mumbai have launched a campaign called "Maajha Footpath, Maajha Haq" to demand the implementation of the BMC's pedestrian first policy. They protest against the encroachment of footpaths, which has left no space for pedestrians to walk. After noticing the illegal construction of three shops on a footpath, residents carried out a protest, leading to the demolition of the shops by the BMC. The campaign aims to raise awareness and encourage citizens to join the movement for pedestrian rights.
