Despite pressure from party workers, NCP president Sharad Pawar has announced that he will not be contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Instead, he plans to focus on strengthening the organization at the grassroots level by undertaking an extensive tour of the state and country. Pawar's decision comes after workers had urged him to contest from Madha, his previous constituency. He will now concentrate on drafting a plan for the polls, strengthening party networks, and ensuring effective coordination among constituents of the INDIA bloc and the MVA.
