A group of friends in Mumbai were duped of over Rs 5 lakh by an individual who claimed to be an authorized dealer for discounted passes to a popular garba event. The 20-year-old entrepreneur and his friends had planned to purchase 156 passes for the event after being offered a lower price. They handed over the money to the accused's representative, but were unable to locate the building where they were supposed to collect the passes. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
