MCD ramps up its anti-pollution drive with over 500 teams

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has instructed its zonal offices to increase efforts in enforcing pollution norms. The MCD has formed surveillance teams and assigned officers to monitor open burning, illegal construction, demolition waste dumping, and dust on roads. Anti-smog guns have been provided to combat dust pollution, and road sweeping and sanitation measures have been intensified. The MCD has also designated sites for construction and demolition waste dumping. Other agencies have been asked to prioritize repairing potholes near hotspots.
