The security cover of actor Shah Rukh Khan has been upgraded to Y-plus category by the Maharashtra government due to "probable threats" to him. It is reported that Shah Rukh has received death threats from certain disgruntled individuals following the successful release of his movies. The Y-plus security includes six personal security officers in three shifts 24x7 and five armed guards at his residence. Shah Rukh will have to pay for the enhanced security until the review committee decides on his protection.
